AMD launches RDNA4 architecture, Ryzen 9000 X3D and Radeon RX 9070.

At CES 2025, AMD announced the Radeon RX 9070 XT and RX 9070 graphics cards with Ryzen 9 9950X3D and 9900X3D CPUs.

    AMD announced the RX 9070 XT and RX 9070 in Q1 2025 through partners such as Asus, Gigabyte, Sapphire and PowerColor.

    As for the RDNA4 architecture, AMD is built on TSMC’s 4nm node and has a different design than RDNA3.

    AMD has not announced specific performance figures, but the company said the RX 9070 series will compete with the RTX 5070 series.

    FSR 4

    AMD has announced FSR 4, a new machine learning-based upscaling technology built for RDNA4 and focused on delivering high-quality 4K upscaling.

    Ryzen 9 9950X3D and 9900X3D

    Ryzen 9 9950X3D (16 cores) and 9900X3D (12 cores) are equipped with 2nd generation 3D V-Cache technology and deliver powerful performance for both gamers and creators.

    AMD claims the 9950X3D has gaming performance on par with the 9800X3D, an 8% improvement over the 7950X3D.
